Some believe that this is the origin of the more broadly pinned quote, “I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand.” though the source is often attributed to Confucius, but is highly debated within academic circles. Regardless of who originally coined the phrase, it serves educators with a better understanding of how true knowledge is obtained.

Underwater Exploration was founded on the principle that every explorer should fully understand both the theory and the practical applications of their chosen discipline by laying down a solid foundation of core skills with the end goal in mind – competent, self-sufficient, technically and tactically proficient divers. After all, isn’t that the way it should be?

Underwater Exploration is a “free floating” dive center. Meaning, we are not restricted to where we teach by one location. Rather, we partner with well-established diver training facilities to provide logistical support wherever we need to train. The one thing that never changes is our dedication to safety while providing top notch, personalized diver education.

Courses are structured to maximize time for knowledge development and in-water training by limiting the number of students allowed to enroll in a course at one time.
